Immense Love in Action

Kids First exists to share the love of Jesus and help make lifelong disciples of Him!

Who are we?

Kids First is a 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry launched in 2005 in Athens, Georgia. Our mission is to disciple families, leading them into lifelong relationships with Christ, by seeking to meet a portion of their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs. Our vision is to elevate the lives of the families we serve, by helping them see and utilize their own value, abilities, and resources to become independent, self-sustaining, and Christ-following members of society.

How do we accomplish this?

Kids First actively serves kids and their families in the Athens area through weekend gatherings and a midweek mentor program. On the weekends we provide a meal, a Bible-based lesson, activities, and opportunities to develop relationships between the volunteers and the kids. During the week offer transportation from school to our facility, nightly dinner, behavioral checkins, one-on-one tutoring, “club” activities, transportation home, weekly groceries, and occasional mom’s gatherings. We desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus to these families, letting them know that we care and He cares in immense ways.
